Terms of service.
Please note the following terms and conditions that both client and sitter will be held to for each booking. By choosing to make a booking with one of our sitters you are agreeing to everything written below.
What to expect from Sitters:
Sitter will communicate each day of booking and/or each service provided. This includes letting clients know when they have arrived to start their services as well when they are finished. They will include photos and updates on pet activity for clients as well as anything of note (odd behaviors, medical emergencies, or special treatments).
No unauthorized animals or guests will be allowed within a client’s home while they are away. Sitter will properly communicate if they wish to bring along their own pet or a guest to the house, of which the client has the right to reject. The rejection or acceptance of such a request will be properly honored, lest the client be given a full or partial refund.
Sitter will ensure that the client’s home is left in the same condition they arrived in, or better. They will not leave a mess for the client to clean up. Exceptions may include but are not limited to animal messes (puke, poop, pee, or toy destruction). Sitters will spot clean as best they can, but if they miss something it is not their responsibility.
Sitters will not take any unauthorized items from the client’s home. Clients may offer for sitter to take from the fridge, but any cash left about or jewelry or other valuables will be untouched by sitters. Sitters will only touch what is necessary for their work/stay.
While an animal is under the care of a sitter they will be properly loved and cared for with the utmost professionalism. No sitter will ever hurt or endanger any animal under their care. Accidents may happen, but purposeful endangerment is unacceptable.
Animals will be cared for in accordance to the client’s clear instructions. A note of instructions for animal care is usually requested by sitters. Sitters will feed, administer medications, walk, or arrive care on time. Any difficulties will be immediately communicated with clients.
Any keys will be returned at the end of a booking (unless client requests sitter keeps the key) and any codes will not be used outside of bookings. Sitters will never be at a client’s home unless a booking is occurring or if the client requests they come by. Any unclaimed keys will be disposed of 3 weeks post booking.
Client’s home will be properly locked and secured overnight as well as any time the sitter leaves. No doors will be left open or unlocked by sitter, lest a full or partial refund be administered.
House Sitting - Sitters will be open and honest about their daily schedules outside of the booking and how long they may be away from client’s home and pets. Both parties must be on the same page about time away and violation may allow for a full or partial refund. Note: In the event of an accident or unexpected occurrence, client will be informed and a proper solution may be reached together. But it will not count towards refunds unless the sitter offers it. Events such as: Flat tires, family emergencies, personal emergencies, and medical emergencies.
House Sitting - Sitter will be at the client’s home fully overnight. Exceptions are allowed but at client’s discretion and both parties must be fully on the same page before the booking is started.
Walks - Sitters will have full digression on the circumstances of walks. Example: If the outside temperature is or above 80°F then a walk will not happen due to excessive heat. If the outside temperature is below 35°F then a walk will not happen due to freezing temperature. Safety of pets is our utmost concern.
